  SM vs MX — What’s the Difference?

  The SX-E700 R SM Edition and MX Edition share the same core bike — the difference is in the wheels and tyres:

  • SM Edition — supermoto tyres for smoother, faster rolling on hard surfaces
  • MX Edition — off-road tyres for grass, mud and dirt riding

  Choose the SM Edition for paths, hardpack and smoother ground. Choose the MX Edition for full off-road terrain.

  The SX-E700 R SM delivers controlled progression with three clearly defined modes:

  The SX-E700 R uses a 500W brushless motor with 700W peak output — giving it serious performance for confident young riders.

  The removable 36V 7.4Ah lithium battery delivers up to 11.5 miles or around 75 minutes of ride time, with a charge time of approximately 2–3 hours.

  Upgraded Suspension, Brakes and Handling

  The R SM Edition brings the same upgraded chassis package as the MX version:

  • Front — Suspension forks for improved control
  • Rear — Adjustable rear shock for more tunable handling
  • Brakes — 140mm hydraulic disc brakes front and rear
  • Tyres — Supermoto setup for smoother, faster rolling

  This results in a sharper, more responsive ride on smooth surfaces compared to the MX version.

  What's in the Box

  The SX-E700 R SM arrives semi-assembled — the front wheel, number board and handlebars require fitting, while the throttle and brake controls come pre-fitted to the bars.

  Each bike includes a UK charger, owner’s manual and tool kit.

  Assembly requires a mechanically capable adult. Please ensure all bolts and components are correctly tightened and lubricated before first use.

• Delivery & Returns

  Customers have 30 days from when an item arrives to return a purchase to us. All items must be returned in new/unused condition and in original packaging.

  RFN Warranty Please Read*

  It is advised to keep your original box and packaging throughout your bikes warranty period of 6 months in case the bike needs to be returned to us.

  Bikes come with a six-month warranty for manufacturing defects on all major parts.

  RFN Bikes are not responsible for any damage caused by incorrect assembly. So please be sure to take care in assembling your bike as the spare parts are difficult to come by. Ensure ALL bolts and components are tightened and properly lubricated.

  This limited warranty does NOT cover normal wear and tear parts, bearings, tyres, tubes, chains, sprockets, cables or any damage, failure or loss caused by improper assembly, maintenance, storage or use of the Amped product.

  This limited warranty will be void if this product is ever: Used in a manner other than for recreation and transportation. Modified in anyway.  Used in wet conditions.

  4. Warranty is a PARTS ONLY WARRANTY, It does NOT include labour. If the bike needs to be repaired by us, the bike needs to be returned to us (the place of purchase) at the CUSTOMERS cost. 

  5. Please note if you order a bike for delivery outside of the UK and Ireland you will be liable for the price of postage for any parts supplied under our warranty! Postage cost is only covered on warranty parts to the UK and Ireland.
