    10Ten 125R 125cc Pit Bike – Quick Overview

Best for: experienced riders wanting a full-size manual pit bike.

    Engine: 125cc 4-stroke air-cooled engine.

Gearbox: full manual clutch and gearbox.

Wheels: 17 inch front / 14 inch rear aluminium wheels.

Why riders choose it: big wheel chassis, manual control, strong 125cc performance and proper off-road capability.

Our view: the serious 125cc manual step before moving into the 140R.

The 10Ten 125R is a full-size manual pit bike built for riders who want proper petrol pit bike performance. It uses a 125cc 4-stroke engine, full manual gearbox and 17/14 big wheel setup to deliver a more serious riding experience than smaller junior pit bikes.

This is a strong choice for confident teenage or adult riders who are ready for clutch control, gears and a bigger chassis, but do not necessarily need the extra punch of the 140R.

My Take as a British MX Rider

The 10Ten 125R is a proper step into manual pit bike riding. It feels much more serious than a smaller starter bike because of the full manual gearbox, bigger wheels and taller chassis.

For a rider who has already built confidence and wants to learn proper clutch control, the 125R makes a lot of sense before jumping into a 140cc model.

If the rider is ready for gears and wants a serious big wheel 125cc pit bike, the 125R is the one I’d look at.

Why Upgrade to the 10Ten 125R?

Feature Smaller Pit Bikes 10Ten 125R
    Engine Often 50cc / 70cc / 90cc / 110cc 125cc 4-stroke air-cooled
Gearbox Often automatic or semi-automatic Full manual clutch
Wheel Setup Usually smaller junior wheel setups 17 inch front / 14 inch rear
Riding Feel Beginner-focused and easier to manage More serious, taller and more performance-focused
Best For Newer or younger riders Experienced riders ready for manual control

The 10Ten 125R is the better choice if the rider is ready for a full-size manual pit bike but does not need the extra power of the 10Ten 140R.

    Why Choose the 10Ten 125R?

    125cc Engine

A strong 125cc 4-stroke engine gives the 125R proper petrol pit bike performance.

    Full Manual Gearbox

Ideal for riders who are ready to learn or already understand clutch control and gear selection.

    Big Wheel Chassis

17/14 aluminium wheels give better stability, ground clearance and confidence on rough terrain.

    USD Forks

735mm USD front forks and rear mono shock give the 125R a more planted off-road feel.

    Disc Brakes

Front and rear disc brakes give the stopping control needed for a faster manual bike.

    Serious Step-Up Bike

The 125R bridges the gap between smaller junior bikes and more powerful 140cc pit bikes.

Where Does the 10Ten 125R Fit in the Range?

    Starter Pit Bikes
Best for first-time riders learning throttle and braking.
    10Ten 125R
Full-size 125cc manual pit bike for confident riders.
    10Ten 140R
More power and oil cooling for experienced riders.

Is the 10Ten 125R Right for Your Rider?

    Choose the 10Ten 125R If...

    • The rider is confident off-road
    • They are ready for a manual clutch
    • You want a full-size 17/14 pit bike
    • You want strong 125cc performance
    • You want a serious step-up bike before the 140R

Consider a Smaller Pit Bike If...

    • The rider is a complete beginner
    • They have never ridden a petrol bike before
    • They need automatic or semi-automatic gears
    • They need a lower or lighter bike
    • You are buying their very first pit bike

    Rider Sizing Guide

Important: the 10Ten 125R should be chosen by rider size, strength and confidence — not age alone.

With an 86cm seat height and 85kg bike weight, it is best suited to confident teenage or adult riders who can manage a taller manual pit bike.

Best For Confident teenage or adult riders
Experience Level Manual clutch experience recommended
    Seat Height 86cm
    Bike Weight 85kg
Wheel Size 17 inch front / 14 inch rear

If the rider is still learning the basics, we recommend viewing our Best Pit Bike for Beginners UK guide before choosing a full manual model.

125R vs 140R: Which Should You Choose?

Model Best For Why Choose It?
10Ten 125R Confident riders moving into full manual pit bikes Strong 125cc performance with a full-size chassis
10Ten 140R Experienced riders wanting maximum 10Ten performance More power, oil cooling and stronger top-end feel

Choose the 125R if the rider is ready for a full-size manual pit bike but you want a slightly more manageable step than the 140R.

Choose the 140R if the rider already has experience and wants the strongest petrol pit bike in the 10Ten range.

    Engine, Gearbox & Riding Feel

The 125cc 4-stroke engine gives the 10Ten 125R a proper manual pit bike feel without jumping straight into the stronger 140cc class.

The manual clutch gives the rider full control over power delivery and gear selection. This makes the bike more rewarding for experienced riders, but it also means the rider needs to be confident and mechanically aware.

The 125R is best viewed as a serious progression bike, not a first petrol bike for a nervous beginner.

    What’s in the Box?

    • 10Ten 125R 125cc pit bike
    • Final assembly components

The bike is supplied boxed or partly assembled. Final assembly, mechanical checks and safety inspection are required before use.

Assembly should be completed by a mechanically capable adult. Always check bolts, brakes, chain tension, controls and fluids before riding.
