Description
10TEN JHL MK125 14/12 Pit Bike
The 10TEN JHL MK125 14/12 takes the larger mid-size chassis used by the MK110 and adds a Zongshen/BS125 four-stroke engine, manual clutch and four-speed gearbox.
Producing a claimed maximum of 8.5 hp, it is designed as the next step for riders who are ready to progress from a semi-automatic bike to a conventional manual-clutch setup.
With 14/12-inch wheels, a 750mm seat height and inverted front suspension, the MK125 retains manageable mid-size proportions while introducing the clutch and gear control used on larger pit and dirt bikes.
125cc Four-Stroke
The Zongshen/BS125 engine produces a claimed maximum of 8.5 hp for off-road use.
Manual Clutch
A conventional manual clutch gives the rider full control over clutch engagement and gear changes.
Mid-Size 14/12 Chassis
A 750mm seat height and 1130mm wheelbase provide more room than the smaller SK machines.
Inverted Suspension
Substantial 43/45mm inverted forks give the MK125 an upgraded front suspension setup.
A Proper Introduction to a Manual Clutch
The biggest difference between the MK125 and the semi-automatic MK110 is found at the controls.
The MK125 uses a conventional manual clutch and four-speed gearbox, giving the rider direct control over clutch engagement and gear selection.
It is a natural progression for someone who is already confident using a semi-automatic bike and is ready to learn the clutch control required on larger pit bikes and dirt bikes.
Learning to balance the throttle and clutch takes practice, so the MK125 is better suited to a developing rider than someone looking for their simplest possible first petrol bike.
Zongshen/BS125 Four-Stroke Engine
Power comes from the Zongshen/BS125 four-stroke engine, producing a claimed maximum output of 8.5 hp.
The engine is paired with a four-speed manual transmission and PE19 carburettor, providing a straightforward mechanical setup suited to recreational off-road riding.
Both electric and kick start are fitted as standard. The electric starter provides push-button convenience, while the kick starter offers a useful backup.
A 3.5-litre fuel tank with CNC vent valve and 5Ah gel battery complete the engine and starting setup.
Mid-Size 14/12 Chassis
The MK125 runs a 14-inch front and 12-inch rear wheel combination, with a 750mm seat height and 1130mm wheelbase.
This gives the rider considerably more room than the smaller 10/10 and 12/10 SK models without moving directly to the taller 17/14 machines in the range.
The larger wheels also improve stability and help the bike roll over bumps and uneven off-road terrain more comfortably.
Rider suitability should always be judged using height, inside-leg measurement, riding experience and confidence rather than age alone.
14/12-Inch Off-Road Wheels
The MK125 uses durable black steel wheel rims with silver aluminium hubs.
The wheels are fitted with Yuangxing off-road tyres in the following sizes:
- Front tyre: Yuangxing 60/100-14
- Rear tyre: Yuangxing 80/100-12
The 14-inch front wheel helps the bike track more smoothly over rough ground, while the 12-inch rear balances stability with a manageable overall seat height.
Upgraded Inverted Suspension
At the front, the MK125 uses substantial 43/45mm inverted forks measuring 680mm.
This gives the bike a more substantial front-end setup than the conventional telescopic suspension used on the smaller SK models.
At the rear, the suspension incorporates CNC-machined components and works with a steel swingarm to complete the mid-size chassis.
The suspension and larger wheels help the MK125 cope confidently with typical off-road bumps and uneven ground.
Hydraulic Brakes and Folding Levers
Hydraulic disc brakes at the front and rear provide the stopping power, giving the rider controlled braking performance from both wheels.
Polished folding brake and clutch levers are fitted as standard. Their folding design can help reduce the risk of lever damage during a minor fall or tip-over.
The cockpit is completed by a forged alloy steering stem and black steel handlebar.
Stainless steel footpegs give the rider a secure platform when riding seated or standing.
Engine Protection and Final Drive
A steel bottom protector helps protect the underside of the engine when riding over rough or uneven ground.
Drive to the rear wheel is handled by a heavy-duty 428H Choho chain, running a 16-tooth steel front sprocket and 41-tooth steel rear sprocket.
An hourmeter is fitted as standard, making it easier to monitor engine running time and keep track of routine servicing.
The bike is finished with a black frame, stainless steel and aluminium exhaust and distinctive 10TEN and JHLOFR graphics.
