Best Kids Electric Bikes Under £1500 UK

A £1,500 budget covers everything from proven first off-road bikes to full-suspension Comp models and powerful 48V machines.

Our top pick: the Amped A20 Comp offers the best blend of suspension, braking, performance and long-term progression for a confident rider.

For a less experienced rider, the best bike may be the Revvi 18, Revvi 20 or Amped A20 Pro. Age is only a starting point—height, strength and confidence matter more.

British Motocross Rider Perspective

My View: Match the Bike to the Rider, Not the Budget

As a racer, I naturally value suspension, brakes and controllable power. That is why the A20 Comp is my overall performance pick—but it is not automatically the right bike for every child.

A rider still developing throttle control may progress faster and more safely on a Revvi 18, Revvi 20 or A20 Pro. The A20 Comp and Revvi 20 Plus make more sense when size and experience justify the step up. The 10TEN MX-E and especially the 45mph Dragster 60 belong in a separate, more experienced category.

The best long-term value comes from buying the bike the rider can control confidently now, with enough room to progress.

2. Best Premium Revvi

Revvi 20 Plus

The Revvi 20 Plus was missing from the old guide despite sitting below the £1,500 ceiling. It combines a 48V 15Ah battery with 1000W rated and 1500W peak power.

Which Bike Suits Which Age?

Use age as a shortlist—not a substitute for checking physical fit and experience.

Around 7–9

A20 Pro for confident riders; Revvi 18 or A18 Comp for suitable riders at least around 120cm tall.

Around 8–12

Revvi 18 for all-round use or A18 Comp for a 120–150cm rider wanting a more off-road-focused setup.

Around 10–14

Revvi 20 for progression; A20 Comp for 130–160cm riders aged around 8–14; Revvi 20 Plus or 10TEN MX-E for confident riders.

Experienced Riders

The EBOX Dragster 60 should be chosen by physical fit and proven experience, not age alone. Its 45mph performance places it well beyond a conventional youth balance bike.
