Electro & Co ETM RTR XL Electric Trail Machine – Quick Overview

Best for: experienced teenage and adult riders wanting a bigger, longer and more stable Electro & Co RTR platform.

Motor: E&C Revolver Alpha 65H IPM brushless motor.

Power: up to 16KW peak power with two power modes plus Hole Shot Mode.

Battery: 72V 35Ah Samsung lithium hot-swappable battery, removable without tools.

Top speed: 65+mph depending on rider, terrain and conditions.

Our view: the ETM RTR XL is the biggest and most serious RTR model — built for taller riders, higher speed stability and full-size pit bike confidence.

The Electro & Co ETM RTR XL is the largest, longest and most composed machine in the ETM lineup. Built for riders who want more room, more speed, more stability and a proper big-wheel pit bike feel, the RTR XL takes the proven ETM RTR platform and scales it up properly.

This is not just a stretched bike for the sake of being taller. The RTR XL uses an extended swingarm, extended forks, longer rear tail, taller bars and a 17/14 wheel setup to create a more stable, more planted and more confidence-inspiring machine at speed.

Available from Garland Powersports with UK delivery options.

My Take as a British MX Rider

The ETM RTR XL is the model that makes sense for taller riders or anyone who wants more of a full-size pit bike feel from the Electro & Co platform.

The longer wheelbase, 17/14 wheels, 810mm seat height and extended chassis make it feel more stable and composed than the smaller RTR models, especially when the speed comes up.

With up to 16KW peak power, a 72V 35Ah Samsung battery and 4-piston brakes front and rear, this is a serious bit of kit. It is not the bike I would point a beginner towards, but for experienced riders it offers a lot of performance in a compact electric pit bike package.

If you want the biggest, fastest and most stable Electro & Co RTR model, the XL is the one.

Why Choose the Electro & Co ETM RTR XL?

    16KW Peak Power

Huge performance from the Alpha powertrain, with serious acceleration, mid-range pull and top-end speed.

    Big-Wheel XL Platform

17/14 wheel setup, longer chassis and 810mm seat height for a more full-size pit bike feel.

    72V 35Ah Samsung Battery

Hot-swappable Samsung lithium battery with up to 30–60 miles of listed range from the stock pack.

    Built for Stability

Extended swingarm, extended forks and longer wheelbase for confidence at higher speed.

    The Biggest ETM RTR Platform

The ETM RTR XL is designed from the ground up to scale the RTR platform properly. It gives riders more room, more stability and a more commanding riding position while keeping the aggressive, responsive feel that Electro & Co is known for.

    XL Platform Upgrades

    • Extended swingarm for increased stability and straight-line tracking
    • Extended front forks for added front-end confidence
    • Extended rear tail for a more balanced look and feel
    • Taller bars for a more commanding riding position
    • 17/14 wheel setup for big-wheel pit bike confidence

The result is a bike that feels planted at speed, predictable in corners and better suited to taller riders.

    Alpha Powertrain with Revolver Motor

The ETM RTR XL comes equipped with the Alpha powertrain running at 72 volts, paired with the E&C Revolver Alpha 65H IPM brushless motor and a full 420 moto chain final drive.

This setup produces up to 16KW peak power, giving the RTR XL explosive hole shots, strong mid-range pull and serious top-end performance while still remaining smooth and controllable for experienced riders.

    Motor & Power Highlights

    • Motor: E&C Revolver Alpha 65H IPM brushless motor
    • Peak power: 16KW
    • Power modes: 8KW / 12KW plus 16KW Hole Shot Mode
    • Top speed: 65+mph
    • Final drive: high strength 420 chain
    • Display: bar-mounted LCD display

This is big power, but delivered through a longer and more stable platform that makes it more usable at speed.

    72V 35Ah Samsung Hot-Swappable Battery

The ETM RTR XL uses a 72V 35Ah Samsung lithium battery, giving it a larger stock battery than the smaller RTR Sport model. The battery is hot-swappable and can be removed without tools, making charging and battery management much easier.

    Battery Access Charge Time Range
72V 35Ah Samsung lithium battery Hot-swappable, no tools required 1–4 hours depending on charger Up to 30–60 miles stock battery

Range will always depend on rider weight, terrain, throttle use, riding mode, tyre pressure and conditions.

    Longer, Bigger and More Stable

The ETM RTR XL bridges the gap between compact pit bike agility and full-size dirt bike stability. The longer wheelbase and bigger 17/14 wheel setup give the bike a more planted feel, especially at higher speeds or across rougher ground.

    Chassis Highlights

    • Frame: E&C designed tubular steel frame
    • Swingarm: extra rigid extended swingarm with CNC MX style axle blocks
    • Footpegs: E&C designed ultra grippy pegs with adjustable mounting position
    • Wheel size: 17 inch front / 14 inch rear
    • Seat height: 810mm / 32 inch
    • Weight: 145lbs

Bigger does not mean sloppy. The RTR XL is designed to feel composed, planted and properly balanced.

    Suspension, Wheels and Braking

The ETM RTR XL uses 48mm E&C tuned extended fully adjustable forks with a firm setup, paired with an E&C tuned DNM adjustable rear shock. It also receives 4-piston disc brakes front and rear for serious stopping performance.

    Suspension, Wheels & Brakes

    • Front suspension: 48mm E&C tuned extended fully adjustable forks, firm setup
    • Rear suspension: E&C tuned DNM adjustable rear shock, firm setup
    • Wheel size: 17 inch front / 14 inch rear
    • Front brake: 4-piston disc brake
    • Rear brake: 4-piston disc brake
    • Rider position: taller bars and XL chassis layout

The bigger chassis, stronger braking package and adjustable suspension make the XL the most composed RTR model in the range.

Who Is the ETM RTR XL For?

    Best for Taller, Experienced Riders

The ETM RTR XL is not a beginner bike. With 16KW peak power, 65+mph potential and an 810mm seat height, it is best suited to experienced teenage and adult riders who want more space, more stability and more performance.

It suits riders who find the smaller RTR platform too compact, or anyone who wants a more proper full-size pit bike feel without moving into a full-size dirt bike.

Ideal for experienced riders wanting the fastest and most stable Electro & Co RTR model.

Not suitable for public roads. Always wear suitable protective gear and ride responsibly on private land only.

ETM RTR XL Dimensions & Rider Fit

Seat Height Wheel Size Weight Platform
    810mm / 32 inch 17 inch front / 14 inch rear 145lbs XL extended RTR chassis

The 810mm seat height and 17/14 wheel setup make the RTR XL better suited to taller riders who want more room than the smaller RTR models provide.
