2026 Stomp Z3-140 Big Wheel Pit Bike – Quick Overview

Best for: taller, confident riders wanting a larger 140cc manual pit bike.

    Engine: oil-cooled YX140 four-stroke with Z40 race cam.

    Power: 8.2kW at 8,000 RPM.

    Gearbox: 4-speed manual, N-1-2-3-4.

Wheels: 17-inch front / 14-inch rear with SDG hubs.

    Seat height: 865mm.

    Ground clearance: 320mm.

Why riders choose it: larger wheels, taller riding position, strong 140cc performance and hydraulic disc brakes.

Our view: an excellent option for confident riders who want the performance of the standard Z3-140 but need a taller, larger-wheeled pit bike.

The 2026 Stomp Z3-140 Big Wheel is a 140cc manual petrol pit bike designed for riders who want strong four-stroke performance combined with a taller riding position and larger 17/14-inch wheels.

Powered by an oil-cooled YX140 engine with a Z40 race cam, the Z3-140 Big Wheel delivers 8.2kW at 8,000 RPM and 10.2Nm of torque at 7,500 RPM.

It shares much of its mechanical specification with the standard Z3-140, including the four-speed manual gearbox, lightweight steel spine frame, hydraulic disc brakes and 290mm piggyback rear shock.

The key difference is its larger wheel combination. With a 17-inch front wheel, 14-inch rear wheel, 865mm seat height and 320mm ground clearance, the Big Wheel offers a taller stance and increased clearance over uneven terrain.

For riders who find the standard 14/12-inch Z3-140 a little compact, the Big Wheel is a natural alternative without changing to a completely different engine or transmission.

My Take as a British MX Rider

The biggest reason I'd recommend the Z3-140 Big Wheel over the standard model is rider fit.

Both bikes have the same 140cc engine performance, but the larger 17/14-inch wheels make the Big Wheel feel more substantial, particularly for taller riders who might find a 14/12-inch pit bike cramped.

The 865mm seat height gives a taller riding position, while the extra ground clearance is useful when riding uneven off-road terrain.

I also like that Stomp has retained the YX140 engine, manual gearbox and hydraulic brakes. You're not sacrificing the familiar Z3 setup to gain the larger wheels.

If the rider is confident with a manual gearbox and physically suits the taller bike, I'd lean towards the Big Wheel over the standard Z3-140.

Why Choose the Stomp Z3-140 Big Wheel?

The Big Wheel version takes the proven Z3-140 engine and chassis package and adds a larger 17/14-inch wheel setup, creating a taller bike for riders who need more room and ground clearance.

    17/14-Inch Big Wheels

Larger wheels provide a taller stance and can help the bike roll over uneven off-road surfaces more smoothly.

    865mm Seat Height

A taller riding position for riders who find smaller pit bike wheel combinations too compact.

    YX140 Oil-Cooled Engine

    140cc four-stroke engine with Z40 race cam, producing 8.2kW at 8,000 RPM.

    4-Speed Manual Gearbox

Full manual clutch and gear selection for confident riders wanting direct control.

    320mm Ground Clearance

An additional 40mm of clearance compared with the standard Z3-140.

    Hydraulic Disc Brakes

210mm front and 180mm rear wavy discs provide responsive braking performance.

Stomp Z3-140 Standard vs Big Wheel: What's the Difference?

Both versions share the same YX140 engine and four-speed manual gearbox. The main differences are wheel size, seat height, ground clearance and weight.

Specification Z3-140 Standard Z3-140 Big Wheel
Engine YX140, oil cooled YX140, oil cooled
    Power 8.2kW 8.2kW
    Gearbox 4-speed manual 4-speed manual
    Wheel Size 14/12-inch 17/14-inch
    Seat Height 820mm 865mm
    Ground Clearance 280mm 320mm
    Dry Weight 71kg 72kg
Best For Riders who prefer a more compact pit bike Taller riders wanting larger wheels and increased clearance

Choose the standard Z3-140 if the rider prefers a lower 820mm seat height and compact 14/12-inch wheel setup.

Choose the Z3-140 Big Wheel if the rider benefits from a taller 865mm seat height, larger 17/14-inch wheels and additional ground clearance.

Where Does the Z3-140 Big Wheel Fit in the Stomp Range?

Is the Stomp Z3-140 Big Wheel Right for Your Rider?

    Choose the Big Wheel If...

    • The rider is confident with manual petrol bikes
    • The standard Z3-140 feels too compact
    • You want 17/14-inch wheels
    • The rider suits an 865mm seat height
    • Additional ground clearance is useful
    • You want strong 140cc performance for off-road riding

    Consider a Smaller Bike If...

    • The rider is new to petrol pit bikes
    • They are still learning clutch control
    • The 865mm seat height is too tall
    • They struggle to manage a 72kg bike
    • A smaller, lighter bike would provide a better fit

Stomp Z3-140 Big Wheel Rider Sizing Guide

YX140 Engine, Gearbox & Riding Performance

    The Stomp Z3-140 Big Wheel uses a 140cc oil-cooled YX four-stroke engine with a Z40 race cam.

The engine produces 8.2kW at 8,000 RPM and 10.2Nm of torque at 7,500 RPM, matching the standard Z3-140's specified engine performance.

A 26mm carburettor, CDI ignition and kick-start system provide a straightforward mechanical setup.

The four-speed manual gearbox uses an N-1-2-3-4 shift pattern, allowing riders to control power delivery through the clutch and gear selection.

The larger wheels give the Big Wheel a different riding feel from the standard model, particularly over uneven surfaces, while retaining the same core engine and transmission specification.

    Our Verdict

Choose the Stomp Z3-140 Big Wheel if the rider needs a taller 140cc manual pit bike with larger 17/14-inch wheels and increased ground clearance.

Choose the standard Z3-140 if a lower 820mm seat height and more compact 14/12-inch wheel setup would be a better fit.

Choose the Z3R-140 Race if you want a more race-focused chassis and suspension specification.

For taller, confident riders who want a proper 140cc manual pit bike, the 2026 Stomp Z3-140 Big Wheel offers a strong combination of engine performance, rider fit and off-road capability.

Revvi full-face helmet sizes

How to measure

Measure around the widest part of the rider's head. The tape should pass above the eyebrows and ears and around the fullest part at the back of the head.

SizeHead circumference
XS, Extra Small48 to 50cm
S, Small51 to 54cm
M, Medium55 to 58cm
L, Large59 to 61cm

Always choose by the rider's actual head measurement, not by age. Head shape can also affect how a helmet fits.

Between sizes? Do not automatically choose a larger helmet for growing room. A helmet must fit securely now. If the rider falls between sizes, check the fit carefully before use.

Always choose by the rider's actual head measurement, not by age. Head shape can also affect how a helmet fits.

Measuring exactly 58cm? That falls in both sizes. Fit varies with head shape, so check the measurement and that the helmet sits securely before use. Do not choose a loose helmet to allow growing room.
