Revvi 16 & 16 Plus Seat Height and Rider Size Guide
The standard Revvi 16 and upgraded Revvi 16 Plus share the same general 16-inch rider category and suit a very similar stage of growth. This guide compares their seat heights, rider-height ranges and intended use so you can choose the correct model—and the most useful bundle—from the start.
Buying the bike and equipment together? Revvi 16 bundles combine the bike with either riding gear or an upgraded spare battery.
Compare Revvi 16 BundlesHow tall are the Revvi 16 and Revvi 16 Plus seats?
The standard Revvi 16 seat adjusts from approximately 43–50cm, while the Revvi 16 Plus adjusts from approximately 44–53cm. Both target riders around five to eight years old, with the standard 16 generally suiting approximately 105–130cm riders and the 16 Plus approximately 110–135cm.
Measure vertically from level ground to the top of the saddle
Begin with the saddle low enough for secure ground contact. Raise it gradually as the child grows, but do not sacrifice confidence and stopping control simply to create more leg extension.
The Revvi 16 Plus offers slightly more saddle adjustment, but both models occupy the same general 16-inch rider stage.
Revvi 16 vs Revvi 16 Plus sizing
These two models should be compared together because they target the same broad 16-inch rider category. The main decision is normally not physical size alone—it is whether the child needs a straightforward starter bike or the more capable Plus model.

Our recommendation
Choose the Revvi 16 when the goal is a manageable, proven and better-value first 16-inch electric bike.
Choose the Revvi 16 Plus when the rider already has confidence and you want the stronger all-round model for continued progression. For many families, the Plus is the better long-term purchase.
What size rider suits the Revvi 16 frame?
Overall height is useful, but inside-leg length and control matter more. A suitable rider should be able to sit centrally, reach the brake and throttle comfortably and place both feet securely on the ground.
Ground contact
Both feet should reach securely, particularly for a first-time powered rider.
Relaxed reach
The rider should reach the bars and brake without locking their arms or leaning forward.
Bike control
They should be able to support, turn and stop the bike without its weight becoming overwhelming.
A Revvi 16 model is likely right when:
- The child is around the 105–135cm rider-height window
- The saddle can be adjusted without the rider looking stretched
- Both feet reach the ground securely
- The rider needs more room than a Revvi 12 provides
- The 16-inch platform feels controllable at walking pace
A standard 16-inch model may be wrong when:
- The rider cannot place both feet securely on the ground
- The bike feels too heavy or intimidating when stationary
- The child remains visibly cramped with the saddle fully raised
- They need a more performance-focused bike such as the Revvi 16 XL
- They are physically ready for an 18-inch platform
The Revvi 16 XL is separate
This page intentionally covers the standard Revvi 16 and Revvi 16 Plus. Although the 16 XL also uses 16-inch wheels, it is a different, performance-focused model with its own rider-size considerations.
A dedicated Revvi 16 XL seat-height and rider-size guide should be used for that bike.
How to measure your child for a Revvi 16
Use the same shoes the child will normally ride in and measure on a flat floor.
Stand naturally
Ask the child to stand against a wall with their feet slightly apart.
Use a book
Place a book between the legs and raise it gently to simulate a saddle.
Measure downward
Measure from the top of the book vertically to the floor.
Do not match inseam and seat height too tightly
The published seat figure is a static measurement. Saddle compression, footwear and riding position all affect real-world reach.
For a beginner, allow enough margin for confident ground contact rather than choosing a bike they can only reach on tiptoe.
Push the value further with a Revvi 16 bundle
Most customers buying a first Revvi also need either protective riding gear or more battery capacity. Buying the right bundle from the start is normally easier—and better value—than adding everything separately later.
Bike + Riding Gear Bundle
Best for: first-time buyers who need the complete setup.
- Revvi 16 or Revvi 16 Plus electric bike
- Revvi full-face kids helmet
- Revvi riding jersey
- Revvi long-finger riding gloves
- Everything arrives together and ready for the rider
This is the easiest package for birthdays, Christmas and first-bike purchases.
Bike + Upgraded Spare Battery Bundle
Best for: riders who will use the bike regularly or for longer sessions.
- The bike's standard battery remains included
- An upgraded spare battery is supplied as well
- Swap batteries instead of stopping to recharge
- More total battery flexibility from day one
- Better value than deciding you need a spare later
This is our preferred bundle for keen riders who are likely to use the bike often.
Which bundle would we choose?
Choose the riding gear bundle when the child does not already own suitable protective kit. It solves the whole purchase in one order.
Choose the extended ride bundle when the rider already has gear and you know longer riding sessions will matter. A second battery is one of the most useful upgrades available for either bike.
Which one would I recommend?
My take as a British motocross rider
The standard Revvi 16 is a strong choice when the child needs a simple, manageable step up from a smaller balance bike. It keeps the cost lower and does exactly what many younger beginners need.
For a confident rider, I would push towards the Revvi 16 Plus. It remains approachable but gives the child a stronger platform for progression. I would also seriously consider a bundle: gear is essential, while the spare-battery package makes a noticeable difference to how much the bike can actually be used in one session.
