10TEN-JHL LK125 Pit Bike

The 10TEN JHL LK125 17/14 is a larger-frame manual pit bike designed for riders who have physically outgrown the smaller SK and MK platforms.

It combines an HS125 four-stroke engine with a conventional manual clutch, four-speed gearbox, electric and kick start, 17/14-inch aluminium wheels and an 830mm seat height.

Producing a claimed maximum of 7.5hp, the LK125 provides manageable performance while giving the rider more physical room and improved rough-ground ability than a smaller 14/12-inch bike.

The LK125 uses a four-speed manual gearbox with a conventional hand-operated clutch.

This gives the rider direct control over clutch engagement and gear selection. It is a natural progression for someone who has already developed confidence on an automatic or semi-automatic machine and is ready to learn coordinated clutch, throttle and gear changes.

Polished folding brake and clutch levers are fitted as standard. Their folding design can help reduce the likelihood of lever damage during a minor fall or tip-over.

Electric and Kick Start

The LK125 comes with both electric and kick start.

The electric starter provides convenient push-button starting, while the kick starter remains available as a useful backup.

830mm Seat Height and 17/14-Inch Chassis

The LK125 has an 830mm seat height, 1250mm wheelbase and 17-inch front and 14-inch rear wheels.

Aluminium 17/14-Inch Wheels

The LK125 uses aluminium alloy rims with upgraded aluminium alloy hubs.

The larger wheel combination offers a useful balance between pit-bike agility and improved stability over rougher terrain:

• Front: 17-inch wheel with a Yuangxing 70/100-17 tyre
• Rear: 14-inch wheel with a Yuangxing 90/100-14 tyre

Wheel locks are fitted at both ends to help prevent tyre movement around the rims, particularly when lower tyre pressures are used for off-road riding.

Inverted Front Forks and Rear Mono Shock

Up front, the LK125 uses a 35mm inverted fork. Its inverted construction provides a more substantial front-end setup than the conventional telescopic forks commonly fitted to smaller starter bikes.

At the rear is a 340mm single mono shock, working with the steel swingarm.

Both suspension units are non-adjustable. This keeps the setup straightforward and avoids unnecessary complication for a developing recreational rider.

Front and Rear Hydraulic Disc Brakes

The LK125 uses hydraulic disc brakes at the front and rear.

This gives the rider controlled stopping performance and improved feel compared with the simpler drum-brake systems often used on small recreational machines.

The cockpit also uses an aluminium handlebar, forged alloy steering stem and polished folding control levers.

Off-Road Chassis and Protection

Wide stainless steel footpegs provide a secure platform when the rider is seated or standing.

A steel engine protector helps shield the underside of the engine against debris and minor impacts when riding over rough private-land terrain.

Drive to the rear wheel is handled by a heavy-duty 428H Choho chain, running on a 16-tooth steel front sprocket and 41-tooth steel rear sprocket.

An aluminium gear lever, stainless steel exhaust, black frame and 10TEN with JHLOFR graphics complete the bike’s off-road specification.

Six-Litre Fuel Tank and Hourmeter

A six-litre fuel tank provides useful capacity for a pit bike of this size and is finished with a CNC vent valve.

An hourmeter is included as standard. This makes it easier to record engine running time and follow the required oil-change, valve-check and routine servicing intervals.
