Description
10TEN JHL LK140 17/14 Pit Bike
The 10TEN JHL LK140 17/14 combines a traditional mid-size pit-bike chassis with a proven Zongshen W140 four-stroke engine producing a claimed 9.5 hp.
Paired with a four-speed manual gearbox and conventional manual clutch, the LK140 is designed for riders who want the involvement of a properly geared petrol pit bike and more performance than the smaller 110cc and 125cc models.
Its 17/14-inch wheels, 830mm seat height, inverted front suspension and aluminium alloy rims make it a more substantial off-road machine while keeping the compact, responsive proportions associated with a traditional pit bike.
Zongshen W140 Engine
The four-stroke W140 engine produces a claimed maximum of 9.5 hp for off-road use.
Manual Gearbox
A four-speed manual gearbox and conventional clutch give the rider full control over gear changes.
17/14 Wheels
Larger alloy wheels help the bike roll more comfortably through ruts, bumps and uneven ground.
830mm Seat Height
A taller, more spacious riding position for riders who have outgrown smaller pit-bike chassis.
Zongshen W140 Four-Stroke Engine
Power comes from the proven Zongshen W140 four-stroke engine, producing a claimed maximum output of 9.5 hp.
The engine is paired with a four-speed manual gearbox and conventional manual clutch, giving the rider full control over clutch engagement, gear selection and power delivery.
A PE22 carburettor complements the larger-capacity engine and provides a straightforward mechanical fuelling system suited to recreational off-road use.
The LK140 is designed for riders who already understand the basic controls of an off-road bike and are ready for the greater involvement of a manual clutch.
Electric and Kick Start
Both electric and kick start are fitted as standard.
The electric starter provides convenient push-button starting, while the kick starter gives the rider a useful backup starting method.
A 5Ah gel battery powers the electric starting system, while an hourmeter records engine running time to help with routine maintenance.
Traditional Mid-Size 17/14 Chassis
The LK140 has a 1250mm wheelbase, 830mm seat height and 17-inch front and 14-inch rear wheels.
It is noticeably larger and more spacious than the 14/12 models in the 10TEN JHL range, making it suitable for riders who have physically outgrown the smaller chassis.
Overall dimensions are approximately 1780 × 740 × 1100mm, giving the rider a traditional mid-size pit-bike riding position.
The 17-inch front wheel helps the bike roll more easily through ruts, bumps and rougher ground, while the 14-inch rear retains the compact and responsive handling expected from a pit bike.
Rider suitability should be assessed using height, inside-leg measurement, experience and confidence rather than age alone.
Aluminium 17/14 Wheels
The LK140 steps up from the steel wheels used on smaller models to aluminium alloy 17/14-inch rims with upgraded aluminium alloy hubs.
The wheels are fitted with Yuangxing off-road tyres in the following sizes:
- Front tyre: Yuangxing 70/100-17
- Rear tyre: Yuangxing 90/100-14
Wheel locks are fitted at both ends to help prevent the tyres from moving around the rims, particularly when running lower tyre pressures for off-road riding.
Inverted Front Forks and Rear Mono Shock
Up front, the LK140 uses a 35mm inverted fork, providing a more substantial front-end setup than a conventional small-bike telescopic fork.
At the rear is a 340mm single mono shock, working with the steel swingarm to control the rear of the bike.
Both the front and rear suspension units are non-adjustable. This keeps the setup straightforward and easy to live with while still providing the suspension travel required for recreational off-road riding.
Hydraulic Disc Brakes and Alloy Controls
Hydraulic disc brakes at the front and rear provide the stopping power, giving the rider controlled braking performance from both wheels.
The cockpit uses an aluminium alloy handlebar and forged alloy steering stem, providing an upgrade over the steel handlebars fitted to the smaller models.
Polished folding brake and clutch levers are included as standard. Their folding design can help reduce the risk of damage during a minor fall or tip-over.
Stainless steel footpegs provide a secure platform when the rider is seated or standing.
Engine Protection and Heavy-Duty Final Drive
A steel engine protector helps shield the underside of the motor when riding across rough or uneven ground.
Drive to the rear wheel is handled by a heavy-duty 428H Choho chain, running a 16-tooth steel front sprocket and 41-tooth steel rear sprocket.
The steel swingarm provides a durable and straightforward foundation for the rear wheel and suspension assembly.
Six-Litre Fuel Tank and Hourmeter
A six-litre plastic fuel tank gives the LK140 useful capacity for a pit bike of this size and is finished with a CNC vent valve.
An hourmeter is fitted as standard, making it easier to monitor engine running time and stay on top of oil changes, valve checks and other routine servicing.
The bike is finished with a black frame, stainless steel exhaust and distinctive 10TEN and JHLOFR graphics.

Who Is the LK140 For?
The LK140 is designed for riders who have outgrown a smaller 12/10 or 14/12 bike and are ready for a taller, more capable manual-clutch machine.
Its 830mm seat height, 17/14-inch wheels and 140cc Zongshen engine make it more substantial than the smaller MK models, while its traditional pit-bike proportions keep it compact and responsive.
For a developing rider who wants a proper manual gearbox, larger wheels and useful off-road performance without moving to a full-size dirt bike, the 10TEN JHL LK140 is a strong progression option.
