    The Amped A20 is the natural step up from smaller Amped electric bikes. It gives riders more size, more power and more room to grow, without jumping straight into the more aggressive A20 Pro.

    With a 540W motor, 20” platform, direct-drive rear hub motor and two simple ride modes, the A20 is built for progressing riders who want a bigger, smoother and more capable electric bike.

    In terms of sizing, the Amped A20 is best suited to riders around 120–145cm tall. This makes it a strong choice for children who have outgrown smaller 16” bikes but may not need the extra aggression of the A20 Pro.

    My Take as a British MX Rider

    The Amped A20 is where kids electric bikes start feeling much closer to a proper lightweight off-road bike rather than just a smaller balance bike with power.

    The bigger 20” platform, smooth direct-drive setup and stronger overall feel make it a confidence-inspiring progression bike for riders stepping up from smaller models.

    The key sizing point is height. If the rider is around 120–145cm tall, the A20 is a great fit. If they are already towards the taller end and very confident, the A20 Pro may be worth considering instead.

    For most riders aged around 6–12+ and around 120–145cm tall, this is one of the best all-round progression bikes in the Amped range.

    The rear hub motor on the Amped A20 is a direct-drive system, meaning power goes straight to the back wheel with no chain, no sprocket wear and virtually no mechanical noise.

    Combined with 28Nm of torque, acceleration feels smooth, predictable and confidence-inspiring rather than aggressive or intimidating.

    Battery, Range & Ride Time

    The Amped A20 uses a removable 36V 5.0Ah lithium battery, providing approximately 45–60 minutes of ride time per charge.

    Eco mode significantly extends battery life compared to Boost mode, making it ideal for younger or less experienced riders.

    Charge time is approximately 3–6 hours using the included 36V 2A charger.

    The Amped A20 arrives semi-assembled. The front wheel, number board and handlebars require fitting, while the throttle and brake lever come pre-fitted.

    Delivery & Returns — Amped Bikes

    Delivery

    All Amped bikes are delivered boxed and semi-assembled. In most cases the front wheel, number board and handlebars will need to be fitted — all throttle and brake controls come pre-fitted to the handlebars. Each bike includes a UK charger, owner's manual and tool kit.

    Please ensure all bolts and components are correctly tightened and lubricated before first use. Full assembly instructions are provided in the owner's manual included with every bike.

    Returns

    You have 30 days from the date your order arrives to return a purchase. All items must be returned in new and unused condition in their original packaging.

    To arrange a return please Contact Us and we will guide you through the process.

    Warranty

    All Amped bikes come with a 6-month warranty covering manufacturing defects on all major parts.

    We recommend keeping your original box and packaging throughout the warranty period in case the bike needs to be returned to us.

    What is covered

    • Manufacturing defects on all major parts for 6 months from the date of purchase

    What is not covered

    • Normal wear and tear parts including bearings, tyres, tubes, chains, sprockets and cables
    • Damage caused by incorrect assembly or failure to tighten and lubricate components correctly
    • Damage resulting from improper maintenance, storage or use
    • Labour costs — this is a parts only warranty

    Please note: If a warranty repair is required and the bike needs to be returned to us, return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer. Warranty parts postage is covered to UK and Ireland addresses only. Customers outside of the UK and Ireland will be liable for the cost of postage on any parts supplied under warranty.

    The warranty will be void if the bike is:

    • Used in wet conditions
    • Modified in any way
    • Used for anything other than recreational riding
